Second place will have to wait for Liverpool after a last minute Rio Ferdinand goal condemned the Reds to an undeserved 1-0 defeat at Old Trafford and if you still can't believe we lost the game, you won't be the only one. Our long unbeaten run was brought to an end when Ferdinand scored a goal that the home side had done little to deserve but still Liverpool left Old Trafford having added further weight to the widely held belief that they are the side who will emerge to challenge Chelsea in the long run. Liverpool dominated large periods of this game and at least deserved a point until Ferdinand rose highest in the box to break their hearts.
